Biography
Meet Adil
Adil Khalqi was born in Lahore, Pakistan, and immigrated to Canada with his family in 2000. He has called Milton home since 2012, lives in Ward 3's Cobban neighbourhood and remains deeply committed to strengthening the community.
Adil began volunteering at just 10 years old and has since contributed thousands of hours supporting organizations such as MADD Halton, Crime Stoppers, Halton Police, the Salvation Army, food banks, Special Olympics, political campaigns and local youth programs. His dedication to public service has also included active involvement in community initiatives, clean-ups, and charitable events.
After graduating from Milton District High School, Adil continued his education at Mohawk College, where he completed both Police Foundations and Advanced Police Studies. His achievements earned him Mohawk's Alumni of Distinction Award and a nomination for the Ontario Premier's Award. In 2025, he delivered a keynote address to thousands of graduating students, sharing his journey and inspiring the next generation of career professionals.
Adil has served as a Police Constable with the Brantford Police Service since 2021, where his commitment to mentorship and community impact earned him a nomination for the Police Association of Ontario's Police Hero Award.
In 2022, Adil was elected as Ward 3 Town Councillor, becoming the youngest Councillor in Milton's history at age 22. During his term, he has focused on economic development, managing growth, improving road safety, and ensuring infrastructure keeps pace with the Town's rapid development. He has also remained a strong advocate for youth engagement through his involvement with the Milton Youth Task Force.
Now seeking re-election in 2026, Adil remains committed to delivering results, strengthening the community, and ensuring residents' voices are heard. Adil will continue leading with integrity, passion, and accountability, while ensuring that all community voices remain central to his decision-making.
With your support, Adil will ensure Milton thrives as a community where everyone can live, work, learn and play.

Top Priorities

Safer Roads
Increase pedestrian crossovers, traffic calming, and flashing beacons. Strengthen protections around schools with signage, safer crossings, and enforcement. Make improvements based on collision data and community input.

Quality Facilities & Amenities
Deliver new parks, more recreation space, and amenities to keep pace with growth. Increase program capacity, facility access, and drop-in recreation programming. Expand opportunities for youth and facilitate an update to the Milton Youth Strategy.

Planned Community Growth
Support transit-oriented development, a mixed range of housing types, and amenity space. Attract businesses, create jobs, and advocate for residents on new development. Fight for adequate parking spaces, synchronize traffic lights, and reduce traffic congestion.

Affordability
Balance taxation with affordability and residents' expectation for public services. Work alongside our local MPs and MPP to fight for more grants and funding. Oppose unreasonable increases to municipal user fees.

Service Level Enhancements
Improve day-to-day services, outdoor maintenance, fire services and winter response. Keep our infrastructure in good repair and provide timely solutions to problems. Expand digital tools and simplify processes so residents can get help efficiently.
